From 1999 through 2002, then again 2005 through 2008 I had online blog accounts where I posted frequent reflections, reactions, and mini-posts about what was going on in my life. These were the last days of high school, the start of college, traveling across the country for gaming events, and learning who I was over the course of nearly 10 years.

In that time I wrote an inordinate amount content, usually in small snippets, and eventually I collected all of my various posts into two large compilations (one 1999-2002, the other 2005-2008). Even if it’s embarrassing to look back on who I was and how I acted in those days, I think it’s important to preserve those kinds of snapshots, those records of the life I’ve lived.

Rereading some of the entries, I think they could still be good fits for uploading to this blog, either as-is or with updated commentary on how things have turned out, how I’ve changed, or with additional perspective on where a particular piece came from. I’ll come up with a new Category for them to go into once I have a few, to make for easy sorting.

To everyone who reads my blog now, know that I am very humbled and honored by your attention. I hope my words are interesting, somewhat thought-provoking, and inspiring. To everyone who used to read my old blog and offer comments, thank you – know that you have helped me become the person I am today.
