Poetic Musings
Thank you for taking this literary journey with me! Here I post personal thoughts on social issues, reflections about day-to-day living, and of course a healthy amount of stories inspired by the many games I’ve played over the years. I try to update several times a week, and genuinely appreciate the care and support of all who read these words, whether the post is fanciful or heartfelt.
The Where to Start page has great suggestions for first-time visitors, and all posts are sorted by the Categories you see in the right-side menu; feel free to narrow things down!

Compounding Errors
There's a business philosophy that's easy to spread but difficult to obey: "don't throw good money after bad." An extension of the sunk-cost fallacy, the idea that more energy or money can save a failing project or endeavor isn't always true; sometimes, it is much...
The Limits of Trust
When running a business it's critical to enforce limits of who has access to what resources—a sales rep probably shouldn't have the ability to delete events off of the owner's calendar, junior developers access to the live website, and so forth. While I wholly...
The Cavernous Deep
“Try your might and come back a hero!” the sweaty merchant called out as he futilely fanned himself. The adventurers, ignoring the man’s small stockpile of goods, ran past without a second look. It was good business, setting up shop in the Northern Barrens, but...
